This is an interview with an young Entrepreneur…. Owner cum Manager of Malai Mart, Kulalumpur... Mr Aurlyn… (This is my first experiencine in an interview… plz forgive me if in case of mistakes.. )

.me: here’s a quick question …. how is food business these days
.Aurlyn: good... food biz is always good
.me: for how long have u been in biz
.Aurlyn: 3 years
.me: ancestors did the same biz
.Aurlyn: nope
.Aurlyn: my dad worked in a chemical company and had a sundry shop
.me: oo... you are great... u have the guts to have biz of your own.. I honor your guts…
.Aurlyn: what is there to be afraid about
.Aurlyn: jump first worry later… ha ha ha
.me: ha ha ... sure..
.Aurlyn: ask most of the people who does biz, most of them do it because ...... 1.They have the opportunity 2. Because they inherited it 3. Because they got no choice, do or die
.me: mm.. i get it...
.me: how many outlets you have
.Aurlyn: still one
.me: oo.. good.. Further plans..
.Aurlyn: of course . .. Some expansion plans
.me: what is the plan..
.Aurlyn: that I cannot tell you… ha ha
.me: ha ha .. Business secret..
.Aurlyn: but generally, to have more outlets and eventually franchise
.me: wow..
.Aurlyn: nobody's doing tacos or oblong burgers
.Aurlyn: ha ha , except for maybe mc D and KFC (tacos)… probably
.me: mm ..sure.. if there is a market potential we need to tap it..
.Aurlyn: definitely
.Aurlyn: when I started with cupcake biz, there were not many people doing it
.Aurlyn: now, its like everyone is into cupcakes
.Aurlyn: but i have my client base already
.me: oo .. that’s awesome
.Aurlyn: who are so hardcore, eveyone else is not nice
.Aurlyn: hahaha
.me: thats good..
.me: what kind of customer base u have..
.Aurlyn: ho.. do you mean, demographics?
.Aurlyn: or numbers?
.me: mm... not exatly
.me: i was about to ask ... what the segment of customer mostly u serve..
.Aurlyn: all demographics
.Aurlyn: are you working?
.me: am a student.. and a part time blogger
.me: mmm.. some insight.. yes
.Aurlyn: well, everyone eats burgers and tacos... they are dinner items right
.Aurlyn: so, I have curtomers from 7 years old to 70 years old
.me: wow..
.me: so its really a large base.. :)
.Aurlyn: you can say that
.me: what do you feel that you have that will make you special.. and successful
.Aurlyn: my hard work and intuition…
.me: Whats your plan for New yr
.Aurlyn: ha .. I thought you will not ask… am planning to add catering services and supplies

[life is a war-field ... we have to live in it... ; War-Fields change but... wars dont... ]

This is an old Tamil saying... but a meaningful saying... and it ll be reinforced everywhere we go... This is becoming true in and around 76013... There were multiple incidents which were scary and really bad.. All the incidents can be classified as mugging and aggravated robbery.

Fall started smoothly.. and my first year doing my Masters is also done.. ( Successfully ... i ll tell abt this on the next post...) everything was good and fall colors were awesome to experience.. and my courses were also going well.. And time went by... Temperature dropped... Safety dropped along with it.. that was the bad part of fall's other-side...

"...... male, medium tone, approximately 6 feet, 200 pounds, late 20s to early 30s, mustache (few days growth), wearing a striped knit hat, dark colored jacket, white T-shirt with dark writing, and dark pants and Weapon: Handgun – unknown type.... Suspect fumbled around checking pockets, leaned against the counter and brandished a handgun. Suspect told the clerk, “Give me all your money.”...... " --- was a mail from campus cops...

i was just upset for a minute and forgot.. A week passed by, heard about one more incident ... a student was mugged and grabbed a phone off ... my fear raised a bit... and finally it happened to one of my friends... he was mugged and his laptop was robbed... i was shocked to hear that 15 people were involved in the robbery... one blow he lost one of his tooth i couldnt see his face.. soo bad and this happened in the heart of the place were lot of people will usually be around but on that day none were there to prevent that.
my rommie helped him to the hospital and got his first aid done.. now people (me too) are really frightened to walk alone in parking lots of their own apartments... students reduced the time of night study... but could'nt be avoided cos many work the whole day and do their school works at night..

Cops Instruction To All - To avoid more similar incidents

- Avoid walking alone late nights
-Try to be in Flocks... if u cant avoid night-outs..
-Be attentive...
-Avoid dark areas .. walk through well lit areas..
-Call cops for assistance..
-Call Night transit assistance people for quick and safe transit to your apartments / parkings

Please Do follow instructions ... tell your friends to come along if possible.. at least tell them where you are going so that if you are late they can track you down even in event of some mis-happening...

Hope Situations Change... Cops are doing their best by increasing patrol force .. and striving hard to improve the safety @ 76013 and around

Who is Next Super Power !!!

One who had money was super power, it changes. The world understood that money doesn't rule the world... this was depicted clearly when America the super power was having 1000s of companies standing in queue filing bankruptcy...

The Power politics, international relations where nations strive hard to become the nxt super power... Though they are competing for the same position they conceal their interest... The nations had different approaches... And you should not forget that this hunger to rule the world or the hunt for becoming the most powerful man is not restricted to countries and dates back from the day man know to colonize. Everyone who had power from emperor to the small community head were having the same desire to expand their control space. This hunger for political power will never end, this runs beyond race and cult.

Long back they used only military power to show their position and technology always was there behind military power. From stone age, through Iron ages, fire power, air warfare till atomic upper hand was the trend. This almost came to end after World War II (Not exactly). During the firepower ages all big players stated to understand that the richest will become the super powers, so the hunt's objective was changed. During end of colonizations they started to reduce the control space but increase wealth in forms of gold and silver. Now the objective turned to other resources; Energy started to gain importance after the discovery of nuclear fusion, and invention of fusion and fission control techniques. All the money was poured in to further harness power from solar, wind and other resources too. Currently we are in the era of energy, the money value depend on Crude oil barrel value. Before oil was extracted at this rate the possession of Coal mines were of keen interest. Understanding the change we started from "Control Space" through "Gold and Silver" to "Energy".

This will change again to green power. One who has food will become super power one day and this day is not far...

USA- land of opportunities... caption was long said was true till the past recession... now also its true.. but slightly changed.. one who has opportunity only has the right to stay over in US.. or else out of status... he he (bad joke.. i know)

People are trying hard to get jobs.. they are not even getting calls.. one of my frnd is applying jobs vigorously... he s applying at-least to 40 positions on a normal day.. fluctuating up-to 50.. but not less.. no one is even calling back for an interview... u must not think that he is not so efficient.. he s a proficient and deserving candidate.. only ill fate - NO CITIZENSHIP/ Green Card...

2 yrs back.. people graduating had 1 or 2 offers before the end of their final semester.. this made many of the people to apply for masters and come to US.. am one among them...

Looking at the market (both stock and job market) economist found some interesting relations... by seeing the stock market's trend its clear that the proportional downturn in the value of stocks in turn reduced the recruiting volume... it even turned negative and so called mass job cuttings were done by the companies. A few of the Market giants were trying to save themselves from lockout... A few of the giants, in-spite of mass job cutting they were forced to file bankruptcy...

Though am not so well-versed in understanding market economics... i was going through some articles and actions taken by market players, i came to understand something... i am putting u through my thought process results... as you all remember there was a real estate bubble of steep rise in prices were observed... this was the trigger to the on set of the recession... successively people started buying more houses and real-estate to levitate their economic stand... people suddenly started to realize something... and those who bought them started to sell back on a faster phase... thus stage 2 showed up... people started to save money.. not actually but tried... reduced spending symptom was prevalent... companies were falling short to reach sales targets... before big corporates could think of the long term effect, tried to save their stand in the market stated their campaign of cost cutting.. which was having the side effect of job cutting... if this didn't happen... we would have had (probably..) a better situation now... small scale job cuttings were followed by large scale job cuttings... this in-turn reduced the purchasing power of the customer base... and this sank the economy still more deep... rather than the actual reduction in economy.. the induced part was the cause of the serious damage...

Positively the prediction for the coming yr 2010 is 1.8% increase to the yr 2009 market... i noticed that last week at my University... some visual turmoil happened... 3 of my department seniors got jobs.. i was relieved to hear that the avg salary was 52k PA.. the wheel of fortune is turning.. happy that the downturn s not continuing...

I am crossing my fingers and expecting that the same old flourishing job market will turn-up by the time i graduate... making USA the land of Opportunity again!!!

Kaala Bhairava...

Kaala Bhairava actually was a shortened form of Kaala Shakti Bhairava - the Lord who controls the Shakti of Kaala - the Power of Time, if u want to improve your time management skills and if they want to make sure that they use their time intelligently this form of Shiva is worshiped. Lord Kala Bhairava is also known as Kshetrapalaka, the guardian of the temple. In honor of this, keys to the temple are ceremonially submitted to Lord Kaala Bhairava at temple closing time and are received from him at opening time

Lord Kaala Bhairava is also the guardian of travelers. The Siddhas advise us that before embarking on a journey, especially one that involves travel during the night, we should make a garland of cashew nuts and decorate Lord Kala Bhairava with it. We should light jothi lamps in His honor and request His protection during our travel.

The god has dog as his personal vehicle, it is even said that if we are good and respect dogs we will be protected. Though people dislike dogs they should not harm them.

"Kalabairava Astami", during Late December or early January, based on lunar calender.is the day of Kala Bhairavan. Its auspicious to say "Om Kalabhairavaaya Namaha" or "Khalabairava potri potri" on start of a journey. Saying the chant at the start of every jouney, even day to day travel guards you from the evil behavior of others.

During a visit to shiva temple, people are adviced to sit at least for a moment inside the premises. This makes shiva to send a pair of "Bhoothaganas", his personnal body guards till our journey is safely done.

Honoring and praying to Kala Bhairava makes the Time Shaktis happy and in return they never allow you to lose track of time or waste time.

All for One...

'All for One.. One for all' .... He He .. this is not the caption of 3 Musketeers.. in our apartment we had a small discussion about the salary structures in US... All work for One salary..

Heart of the topic being - USA is communist based ecomnomy... me, along with Mr.Mothalali and Mr.Mottai were apposing this statement of Mr.Mokkai... He was also stating that our country has an issue in treating different stream of graduates unequally and USA was treating them fairly...
i was happy to see Mr.Mokkai got frustrated by the whole topic turing against him... Meanwhile i gave out a statement that the people are not taking good effort in searching the right paid job... and Mokkai was not even acknowledging this fact..

All of this happened to be started from an event which happened at a restaurant.... Mr.Mottai was with our boss ... they were on a drive to work place ... a Afro-American lady almost rammed their car... and before she gets the blame she started abusing our boss ... Mr.Mottai was happy seeing this happen... Listening to this narration patiently... Mr.Mokkai gave out a statement that the People from Europe are all decent and the Afro-Americans are not decent ... this was the trigger to the event ... i gave out a retreat to the statement that all the AA(afro americans) are not as u commented... as i know many AA, they talk and work with me both at the school and my work place are never like that... for this " I didnt say all .. almost " as usual counter dialague from Mr.Mokkai... Hearing this Mr.Mottai and Mr.Mothalali were exited .. cos this was not the foirst time for them to hear this knid of defence statement from Mr.Mokkai... in this context i hav to remaind the folks of an incedent where Mr.Mokkai has used this defence earlier... it was a decent chat about copycentter's collection for a week... Mr.Mokkai saw that the manager of Copycenter going to bank with a suitcase full of money... he was soo confident abt the amount in the suitcase will be around $35K... we all were really pissed off... as u know a copy center has a few photocopiers , sells pens, pencils, fax service and scantrons for the university... for a exams week , the sales will be high... but not as high as $5K... cos there will be no more inventory.. for a week.. at that instant we heard "I dint say that exactly... almost... " and we convinced him for the amount under $5K... Coming to taday's argument... Mr.Mokkai said "A library director will get the same pay as a software engineer at the same level... " he didnt support his state of level for the software engineer... and he pingged back with "do other graduates in india get a good pay of about Rs18K as a start... " I pounded hard quoting that my bro... did BCA, and is getting Rs.26K now...no answer to this....Mr.Panni came in for rescue.... the topic was changed.... after a 5min of some other topic... Mr.Mokkai came back to start the same.. Mr.Mothalali commented.. "visayam therinjavanga kitte peesunga sir.." meaning talk to the one who knows stuff... This made Mr.Mokkai furious.... He started to grown.. and said.. "Loose maari peesathinga (dont talk like mental)" and for this "yaaru loosu maari pesaranga (who was speaking like that)" was the back fire which drove Mr.Mokkai to his ultimate rage... and we all decided to stop the topic.. i, with Mottai and Mothalali were happy to see him raged... :) ... we are good friends of Mr.Mokkai but we like to see him angry when he looses arguements... sorry so called healthy debates...

Problems.... has the confidence of Knowing the breaking point of everyone... it knows... it has won many times and had the victories of breaking the hearts...

I knew it... I know that it knows my breaking point too... it has already played many times with me... It plays with confidence... highly equipped and qualified to uproot the strongest and the most confident confidence of mine...

It has won me many times... I thought the wars's over... at every time HE sends me a message in human voice... every time it was a different message... but every time HE meant the same... " Get Equipped, U can, this is just a battle u have lost... the war is'nt over... the coffins u have seen in the last battle were ur mistakes... uprooted the hard way out... now the field is clear re grow confidence with the new josh and sacrifice of all the mistakes and blunders of past...get mad... cut out its living guts ... one inch at a time... u are a lion... let it know how menacing u are"

Its always happy to be described by others; I was expecting it from a long time... but none came front to speak to me abt me... so is the reason behind my venture.
